Please be aware that this year Crystal Skate will be held in a different location, NOT in Otopeni - Bucharest. The location for this year's Crystal Skate is Cheile Gradiste - Fundata, Brasov County. 

SPECIAL VENUE & EYOF 2027 TEST EVENT

The 23rd edition of Crystal Skate will take place in a truly special mountain setting at Cheile Grădiștei Fundata Resort, located at approximately 1,300 metres above sea level, between the spectacular Bucegi and Piatra Craiului Mountains.

The competition will be hosted in the new and modern Cheile Grădiștei Fundata Ice Rink Arena, situated directly within an exceptional high-altitude sports complex designed for training camps and national and international competitions. The resort offers extensive facilities dedicated to high-performance sport, including winter sports infrastructure, indoor and outdoor training areas, fitness facilities, as well as excellent recovery and wellness facilities for athletes.

Crystal Skate 2026 will serve as the official Figure Skating Test Event for the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) 2027, which will take place at the same venue in February 2027. Cheile Grădiștei is one of the official host locations of EYOF 2027, scheduled for 14–21 February 2027.

We therefore warmly encourage all skaters and ISU Members preparing for EYOF 2027 to participate in Crystal Skate and take advantage of this unique opportunity to become familiar in advance with the competition rink, altitude, accommodation, training environment and overall venue conditions they will experience during EYOF 2027.
